Paul Demers has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1962. He did his classical studies with the Jesuits at Jean-de-Brébeuf College in Montreal and received his B.A. from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and his law degree from McGill University. He now acts as counsel for the firm where he shares with our lawyers his long experience as a litigator pleading before the courts in the fields of insurance and civil liability matters, defamation on behalf of the media and their insurers, as well as in labour and commercial law. He is involved in fundraising activities for various charities and is also active in volunteer work and as a speaker. Always a keen tennis player, he spends much of his time in Kennebunk, Maine, where he teaches the fine points of the game to his four American grandchildren.
